Winter Activities: Welcome to the Snow Kingdom!

Do you remember the winters of your childhood? Pure joy in the crisp, frosty air and glistening snow and then a cup of steaming hot chocolate. A winter holiday in Wildberg brings back those feelings. Whether you’re staying with us for winter camping or in one of our holiday flats in the historic residence, your winter bliss is always just a stone’s throw away. Kronplatz (Plan de Corones) is just three kilometres away, and the ski bus and ski train are within walking distance.

South Tyrol’s number one ski mountain is just a few minutes from Wildberg with 121 kilometres of slopes, from gentle blue runs to the legendary Black Five Challenge. As part of Dolomiti Superski, a single ski pass grants access to 12 ski areas and 1,200 kilometres of slopes. At Wildberg, you’ll find a ski room, drying room, and heated ski boot dryers. Cross-country skiing in the Puster Valley & Antholz Valley

Cross-country skiing is quiet, meditative, and more strenuous than you might think. In Stefansdorf (Santo Stefano), just a few minutes away, a 6 km free trail winds through the snow-covered landscape. More challenging trails await in Antholz (Anterselva), in Rein in Taufers (Riva di Tures), on the Plätzwiese, in the Gsies Valley, Pederü, and the Rodenecker (Rodengo) Mountain Pasture. Winter hiking around Bruneck (Brunico)

When snow drapes the mountains in its glistening mantle, hiking trails become dream routes. The Wildberg Circular Trail is also accessible in winter, whilst the Rodenecker (Rodengo) Mountain Pasture is a classic for snowshoe hikes.

Sledging fun in the Puster Valley

Sledging is both a childhood memory and an adrenaline rush. Particularly popular sledging destinations are the Moarhof Alpine Pasture, the Lärcher Alpine Pasture, the Knutten Alpine Pasture, Weissenbach (Riobianco), and Staller Sattel (Passo di Stalle). Some runs are also open for night sledging when you can whizz down into the valley under the stars.
