Bruneck Christmas Market: Festive delights for all the senses
This is just a few minutes from Wildberg and is famous for its unique Bruneck Christmas scent made from mountain herbs. There are over 30 wooden huts between the medieval old town and the Oberragen (Ragen di Sopra) with handmade nativity scenes, painted glass baubles, Tirtlan, and doughnuts. For children, there is the wooden ball track, the St Nicholas procession on 6 December, and a live nativity scene on 21 December.
Christmas in the Innichner's Dolomites: Alpine tradition
Just 30 km from Wildberg, you will find Advent of yore with small wooden stalls around St Michael’s Church and the scent of mulled wine, roasted almonds, and gingerbread.
Brixen Christmas Market: At the foot of the magnificent cathedral
Just 25 km from Wildberg, right on Cathedral Square, you will find 30 stalls selling nativity scenes, carved figures, and candles. Particularly enchanting for children is a Christmas bakery and a historic carousel.
Sterzing Bell Christmas: A contemplative atmosphere beneath the Tower of the Twelve
Just 40 km from Wildberg, the 25 bells of the Tower of the Twelve ring out daily at 10.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. with a specially composed Christmas carol. Enjoy the live music from bands on the first and third weekends of Advent.
Tauferer Advent: Christmas enchanted forest by the waterfalls
Just 35 km from Wildberg, you will find something truly special: a romantic winter walking trail that leads through the snow-covered forest to the Reinbach Waterfalls, past wooden huts and hand-carved forest animals. Horse-drawn carriage rides every 20 minutes from 3.00 p.m. Don’t miss the Goasroscht cheese dairy and the Sheep Wool Museum. The Maranatha Nativity Museum is also a very special experience.
